Frequently Asked Questions

At Paws, we know how important your pets are to you and fully understand that you will want to know as much as possible about us before putting your dog into our care.

Here are a number of frequently asked questions that we hope are of some help to you. However, if your question is not answered below, please do not hesitate to contact us.

1. WHAT ARE YOUR OPENING TIMES AND WHAT TIMES WILL MY DOG BE COLLECTED AND DROPPED OFF FOR DAY CARE?

Our opening times are Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (Except for Bank holidays where we are closed).

For Doggy Day Care, your dog will be collected between 8.00am and 9:45am and returned home between 3:00pm and 5.00pm.

2. WHAT IF I AM NOT AT HOME WHEN YOU COLLECT AND/OR DROP OFF MY DOG?

At Paws, we are fully insured to hold house keys for clients; as many of our customers prefer us to do so in case they work longer hours or if there is a change in the daily schedule. This way your dog can be collected in the morning and dropped home in the afternoon with no hassle for you or your family.

3. IS MY DOG SUITABLE FOR DOGGY DAY CARE?

Paws Playground is a fun day out for your dogs where they can socialise and play with their friends and look forward to coming back next time. As a result and to maintain a happy pack, we are only able to accept non aggressive and friendly dogs to ensure that all of our canine buddies have the best time at the playground.

4. WHAT DOES DOG DAY CARE PROVIDE FOR MY DOG?

Doggy Day Care will relieve boredom of dogs left at home during the day, help to solve behavioural issues, prevent destruction within the home (often a result of boredom), as well as providing a safe, fun and loving environment for dogs with separation anxiety.

Routine is essential for a happy and healthy dog. So at Paws Playground, we are totally committed to providing our day care guests with a stimulating and fun, healthy routine.

Once all dogs arrive at the Playground, our day begins with lots of fun in our large outdoor paddock with games, balls, toys and lots of running and playing to catch up on last night’s gossip and use up that built up energy. Back at the centre, our designated areas will provide for more games, a cosy den for nap time, free play with lots of toys as well as interactive play with specifically designed mind games to keep your dogs brain working at its best. Our outdoor area allows for regular toilet breaks and more outdoor play to leave your canine buddy extremely content after a fun and well structured day.

5. HOW DO YOU KEEP THE INDOOR PLAYGROUND FRESH AND CLEAN?

Playing outside is a large part of our day and so dogs are encouraged to go to the toilet outside where it can be cleaned up and disposed of correctly. Whilst in the indoor playground, regular toilet breaks are factored in to keep accidents to a minimum. However, if any accidents happen inside, we have a cleaning station with all of the necessary equipment to remove any traces of urine and faeces. We use non toxic cleaners to remove smells and stains.

6. HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK ONCE I HAVE MADE AN INITIAL ENQUIRY ABOUT DOG DAY CARE?

Following your enquiry into dog day care, we will arrange a suitable time and date for one of our team to come and meet both yourself and your dog at your home. If we both feel that your dog is suitable for day care, we can do the necessary (boring) paperwork and arrange a trial day at the Playground.

After the trial session, if your dog is happy and has enjoyed their day with us then we can offer you a permanent place at Paws Playground.
